Print these Harry Potter educational decrees to hang on the wall at your Harry Potter party.
Harry Potter Educational Decrees {free printables}
A year ago I co-hosted a huge Harry Potter dinner party and one of the things we used for decor were these Harry Potter Educational Decrees. I spent hours and hours searching for images of Harry Potter Proclamation printables and other Harry Potter party printables for our party decor. It took way longer than it should have to track down all of these to print. To make your party planning a little easier I created seven of these posters from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (book 5, although most of these are from the movie). If these become as popular as my Harry Potter Book Covers printables I will create some more for everyone to enjoy.
For our party we printed all of our proclamation educational decrees on parchment paper. I bought mine at an office store and then learned that parchment paper like this on amazon is about half as much as the parchment paper at office supply stores. And craft stores didn’t have anything besides single square sheets.

This parchment paper on amazon is by far the cheapest I could find including craft stores and office stores. It makes the book covers and other Harry Potter items you might print look amazing!
For best results, save the image to your computer before printing. I find it easiest to drag and drop the image to my desktop, then print it from there.

wow, great post. it gave me a lot of useful information. I look forward to your next posts.
Thank you! These are great.
So great!
I love reading your articles. It reminds me of walks.
I was able to download the Decrees but they only print in a 5×7 size. anyway to enlarge them to 8×10?
I copied and pasted each one to a doc.x. Then, changed the length and width until they were all the size I wanted.
These are amazing! Thanks so much for sharing! I’d love to create a few more. Would you be willing to share the template?
THANK YOU! Having a HP Halloween Party and these are perfect! You ROCK!
So glad that they helped!
Podría informarme dónde obtener la proclamation sin el escrito y el número? Quiero usarlos para el aula pero serán los alumnos quienes escriban las proclamationes según sea la regla decidida para el aula. Gracias
Thank you so much for putting this all together! It has been so helpful for party planning!
Thank you so much for sharing these great ideas!!!
This is so amazing! I printed many of these and changed a bit of wording to more accurately represent my classroom rules. I am doing an HP themed high school English classroom. In lieu of parchment paper, I want to share a tip. I printed the posters on regular paper, and then used a moist tea bag as a “paint brush” to brush over the posters. I then sprinkled a bit of instant coffee on spots to create darker spots. The result is just like parchment, but a fraction of the cost! It takes only a few hours of lying flat for the posters to dry!
Thank you so much for creating and publishing these. My daughter is asking last-minute for a Harry Potter themed party and this is really saving me since I’m so busy and these are absolutely wonderful. Thank you! Thank you!
These are lovely! I am wondering if you have an editable template (decree number and wording) I may use for my classroom rules.
You have some more that you missed, do you mind if I tell you?
Educational Degree 27:
Any student found in the possession of the magazine The Quibbler will be expelled
Educational Degree 26:
Teachers are hereby banned from giving students any information that is not strictly related to the subjects they are paid to teach.
Again, these are copied from the book. Sorry if you don’t want me to correct you, I just wanted to help.
I believe that the Educational Degree 24 is meant to be:
“All Student Organizations, So
cieties, Teams, Groups, and
Clubs are henceforth disbanded.
An Organization, Society, Team, Group, or Club is hereby
defined as a regular meeting
of three or more students.
Permission to re-form may be sought from the High
Inquisitor (Professor Umbridge).
No Student Organization, Society, Team, Group, or Club
may exist without the knowledg
e and approval of the High
Inquisitor.
Any student found to have formed, or to belong to, an
Organization, Society, Team, Gr
oup, or Club that has not
been approved by the High
Inquisitor will be expelled. ”
I copied this directly from a PDF version of the Order of Pheonix, so it looks a little weird, but I thought that you might want to know.
