When I sat down to make this Father’s Day banner my husband decided he was qualified to choose the color and design of the tie. Blue and Red stripes, “the presidential”, was his decision. I spend a good half hour trying to find a blue and red combo that both looked halfway decent and didn’t hurt my eyes. In the end I couldn’t do it. The second I switched to black I liked it loads better. I’ll have to buy him a real blue and red tie to make up for it. But I probably won’t because I bought him this shirt instead. I might have just spoiled the surprise. But I doubt he will read this even if he does look at the post so I’m probably good.
This Father’s Day banner would be super easy to hang with this cotton twine and some mini clothes pins. The mini clothes pins are hard to find in stores so I bought mine on amazon.

Paper
I often get asked what paper I recommend. I really like this card stock paper on amazon. It is much cheaper than I have found in stores and has a good thickness for these projects without being so thick that it jams the printer.

Do you have this tie banner as a line drawing that the kids can color? It would be so much more fun to see their color combos. Blessings from Port Huron, Michigan
Great idea! Thinking of making a banner for church dinner for dads!
Love it!! I’m going to use this instead of cards for my dad and for my kids to write on the back for their dad.
Will use for my Father’s Day lunch.
