This free KWL chart printable graphic organizer is a fun way to learn about a new topic in your classroom. I couldn’t decide between the version with the K-W-L down in the corner or without it so I’ve attached both versions of the graphic organizer worksheet for you to use with your students in your classroom. These are great for classroom teachers or homeschool families alike. Add a KWL chart to your lesson plans. These work great for Science, Math, English, & Social Studies.

What is a KWL Chart?
A KWL chart is a graphic organizer that you can use to introduce a new topic to students. Start by having students write down everything they already know about the topic in the the “know” column. Then move on and have them list what they want to know or would like to learn about in the “want to know” column. After this step you can move on to your lesson. After the lesson has finished have students list what they have learned in the “learned” column.

Paper
I often get asked what paper I recommend. For regular copy paper this 5 ream case of paper is one of the better deals. For cardstock I really like this card stock paper on amazon. It is much cheaper than I have found in stores and has a good thickness for most projects without being so thick that it jams the printer.
